The talk will focus on the two waves of repatriation from the Soviet Union to Poland, in the late 1940s and 1950s. Ultimately, the majority proceeded to other countries. In the second half of the 1940s, DP camps in Germany became places of transit, with Munich as a makeshift center with a range of Yiddish cultural activities.
